Round 12: Pocono Empty Round 12: Pocono

HOLY SHIT! It's alive? IT'S ALIVE!!!!

Yeah, the Junior Series is back after a long break with the IES at Europe, concluding their last European race at Russia. At this point, there will be no more breaks starting Pocono. This is the final stretch. Pocono, Palm Beach, and Rockingham NC aren't that bad. However, the Big Four (Grand Detour, Dectaur, Talladega, and Fontana) is the test for the drivers. The points lead, in case you forgot, comes down to two drivers: rookie sensation Henry Sandfer and breakout sensation Christopher Bryant. That's at least right now. Alissa Kirby, Cuyder Kumori, Shrimp Engrits, Mark Holbert, and James Dalton are less than or at 100 points behind Sandfer. So the top 7 are realistically going for the championship, but they need great runs and hopefully the top 2 runs into trouble. This battle for the championship is looking like the IES with his many races to go.

Henry Sandfer took the championship lead after Mosport in a pretty good position. S3 Motorsports have been pretty good on the ovals. However, Christopher Bryant is also a dominant driver on the ovals, notching three wins. For the rest of the top 7, it is a test to see if they can get up with the championship battle. There may be drivers out of the championship realistically if they don't perform well. Pocono is a massive 2.5 mile track with three different styles of corner. It's classified as a superspeedway but doesn't run like Talladega or Daytona. The Tricky Triangle featured a great race in the Junior Series last season. Nathan Dwyer came out as the victor. Rookie Michael Cavagnaro is back in the 33 after suffering an injury at Indianapolis. Luckily, it happened before the big break. Cavagnaro is able to heal in time for Pocono. Matt Mackay drove the 33 and scored 15th in Mosport.

Qualifying for Pocono will be soon.

The drivers went balls off for the quickest lap as three drivers eclipse 50 seconds. However, Christopher Bryant dominated qualifying by getting the pole by two tenths from championship leader Henry Sandfer. Edward Miller out of nowhere starts 3rd. The gap is now 19 points between Sandfer and Bryant. Pocono is a crucial race for the championship. Shelly United Motors again showed they have the pace on the ovals since the upgrade. Binky Louviere in 21st tells us this race is going to be stupid. Bernard Strauss in 12th is also scary.

Hopefully I can get the race ready to uploaded before the next IES race.
