Round 4 at Charlotte Empty Round 4 at Charlotte

Post by ChrisEagor Fri May 06, 2016 9:13 am

Split car drivers participating Charlotte
41 Maxwell Chan
26 Greg Marshall -R-
8 Ryan Cooper -R-
4 Dajon Weeks -R-
10 Marco Rossi -R-
22 William Brock -R-
07 Zachary Fitzwater

Oh boy! There are some things to talk about it. Oxford is now a mental institute, and it causes people to go crazy. That's what it did with the bumper car-style racing. So much shoving and aggressive from the drivers, and the aggression went far--twice. Both Peter Sparrow and Princess Percle have took out the leaders of their duels. I have never saw that EVER in any ISCC series. Both Sparrow and Princess are at least a lap down, and they restart to the leaders' inside. Once the green flag is waved, Sparrow and Princess went up to Ryder Smith and Alan Cavagnaro at the exit of turn 2 and smack them to the wall. Both drivers were called to the hauler, and Peter Sparrow and Princess Percle will receive 30-point deduction and a 3-race probation. The two drivers will receive actual points since there are 21 drivers per duel. Slim Jim Series officials will deduct the points from what they earn from Oxford. It puts Sparrow with -3 points and Princess with -6 points.

HOLY SHIT! They are behind Dajon Weeks, Marco Rossi, and Henrietta Fitzwater with ZERO POINTS! This is sad too. Weeks did a race at Las Vegas but failed to score. Rossi is making his debut in Charlotte with no points. Henrietta has not make her season debut yet; she is debuting at Darlington next race with no points. I thought that this is gonna happen in the next four or five seasons since the split car system is introduced. NOPE! It only took THREE RACES to achieve. Ladies and gentleman, the Slim Jim Series. Give y'all selves a big pat in the back.

Round 4 at Charlotte Giphy

Anyway, we are at Charlotte. Yippe! Charlotte has been with the Slim Jim Series since the start. For the past two races, it acts like a superspeedway. Testing at Charlotte is absolute brutal, and the officials made some changes to the package. Cars are able to feather out a bit. Turns 1 is easiest passing spot. Turns 2, 3, and 4's middle groove line works when defending for a position. It can be used as a passing opportunity. Charlotte is now a difficult track to pass on as it should be. Lap cars continue to be a big problem especially in double file restarts. Since the lap cars are holding their line, it causes other drivers to force three wide moves in order to get pass lap car. However, the drivers don't get give too much room, and it causes big wrecks. At that rate, we could have 5-7 cautions at Charlotte. To reduce the amount of cautions, the officials will be doing single restarts . I think Charlotte is going to be an interesting with the new models and single-file restarts.

For the standings, it is the weirdest points standings that I have ever saw. Daniel Smith is the points leader while Henry Sandfer is second. Hamilton Autosports have the worst luck ever as none of the drivers are in the auto bid spots for the 1 in 70. Binky is somehow in the top 20. This is looking very weird as I never expect this shit to happen. No one in the world would expect this. There are even other news surrounding the 1 in 70, but they will be cover in separate posts. News for the 1 in 70 might start popping around Phoenix at the very least. At this point, all the news and drama are more fun than the racing this season.

Qualifying for Charlotte will be up tomorrow.

Notables: Now we got new king of poles as Dillon Young gets his second pole of the season. Young is known for his oval talents, and it shows us that S3 Motorsports are the favorites to win Charlotte. Daniel Smith is starting in 7th with the points lead. Highest rookie is Ashley Brock with a 10th place. Highest split car driver is rookie Marco Rossi (making his series debut) in 15th. Nick Pericles and Will Lewis didn't qualified as they hope. Also John Johnston why? Princess Percle is three tenths slower than Sparrow. That's normal. But Johnston manages to find a way to be three tenths slower than Princess Percle. GG Johnston.

Smith:" I just Hope that Sparrow doesn't come across as a lap car, cause that son of a b***h is going to be spun. On a Higher Note...Looking for a Great run here today."
