Round 7: Dectaur

Post by ChrisEagor on Sun Jun 12, 2016 11:02 pm

Split car drivers participating Decatur:
41 Cosmic Nova
26 DJ Kurtis
8 Ryan Cooper -R-
4 Dajon Weeks -R-
10 Marco Rossi -R-
07 Zachary Fitzwater
22 Tommy Turbo -R-

We are entering the second quarter of the season. Our next track is Decatur, the most prestigious road course in the ISCC. This is first time back in Decatur since Season 2 where light rain and haze shroud the track. Slim Jim Series officials could have waited, but this is the worst Decatur race in history. Check it out for giggles if you want.

Decatur is the most difficult road course for the ISCC. IES, Junior Series, and Formula X have Decatur as one of their last races of the season. For Slim Jim, it is the season's first road course first, and they have to tackle it on very early. Officials have a choice between NOLA Motorsports Park or Decatur. They chose Decatur, and drivers can't wait despite Decatur is very early. It's unique how Slim Jim handles Decatur. It gives the drivers a challenge before they go off to other major road courses. Slim Jim Series cars will be slicker than the older models. Sliding could bring passing into the picture. Another thing that makes Decatur great is the road course is very deep. This race alone features top road ringers: Cosmic Nova, DJ Kurtis, Nasu Tsunemochi, Sean Angel, Will Lewis, and Jeffery Finguy. It also features good road ringers like Chris and Chica Louviere, Dillon Young, Nick Pericles, Zachary Fitzwater, and the list goes on. The road course talent is extremely rich especially later in the second half--six road courses. This also marks track positions mean everything. Passing is not impossible at Decatur, but if someone starts in the back, getting to the points will be difficult.

The 1 in 70 news is very quiet as there are no developing stories despite two factories showing up and the next venture of Season 5 1 in 70. Let's go over the owners points for the top 14
Owners Points:

1 17 376
2 84 355
3 5 346
4 20 329
5 2 285
6 24 257
7 88 251
8 26 238
9 12 234
10 92 205
11 31 199
12 41 196
13 15 189
14 11 183
----Cutoff----
15 70 179
16 16 174
17 66 174
18 29 173
19 1 169
20 9 168
21 48 165
22 18 159
23 83 158
24 4 152
25 10 148
26 107 144
27 8 143
28 99 142
29 7 136
30 19 135
31 32 130
32 40 126
33 22 96
34 69 94
35 101 92
36 42 81
37 0 76
38 28 67
39 38 66
40 44 62
41 100 62
42 55 0

Realistically, the top 5 in owners points are going to be the main show. Reason why they are not in bold, because they did not clinch the auto-bid mathematically. There's going to be a point where I will not feature drivers who are not within to get 14th in the points. That won't happen until after Austin. As for the standings, Henry Sandfer and Jeffery Finguy are starting to fall very badly. They are still in the top 14, but one or both drivers could be out after Decatur if they don't have the results. Cars from 10th-14th need to have great runs, or cars outside can sneak in the top 14. Drivers up to 35th in owners points can take the 14th spot.

Qualifying will be up tomorrow afternoon.

Split car teams may not like this, but Cosmic Nova gets the pole here at Dectaur. This is one of his favorite track to drive, but Sean Angel's qualifying efforts nearly bump Nova for the pole. Ryder Smith is the highest rookie in 15th. Dillon Young starts in 7th while Pericles and LaTerza are not even in the top 10. At this point, Dillon Young will be your points leader. Alex Percle pulled a 13th place start in the Baby Tribe 5000 start. And Princess Percle also beat Burndfart and Finguy. So Baby Tribe 5000 is good right now. Well no...I got some notes.

All of these involving with Alex and Princess Percle.

This happened in the first 15 seconds of practice...

Did you know that Alex Percle is a Slim Jim Series winner? Yeah, no shit. If you bother with the video from headlines, he won the race at Dectaur, making it the biggest upset win in Slim Jim Series history.

Next up, it's Princess Percle. Princess Percle is not penalized after Phoenix, and the probation is expired. However though, when she was challenged by Ryan Cooper and Zachary Fitzwater, she got the perferred line but...

Is everybody going to start cutting corners now? Is this how's going to be?

Finally, Alex Percle got involved in another issue. However, it's not in this own doing. Check this shit out!

Holy shit! Binky have a no talent moment. She's still developing, but she will be done every soon. Right?

For the race release, hoping for the weekend.
