Round 13: Eurospeedway

The start of the European Tour II will be place in Germany's Eurospeedway. Eurospeedway is a track where IES goes. Since IES lost interest, it will be the first time that Eurospeedway will not be used in the stock car division. However, Slim Jim will take a crack at the track. Eurospeedway is similar to Pocono but much hardier to pass. With the way the Slim Jim is, the cars can slide and promotes passing. Track position is also key because passing can be difficult once tires are worn and the shuffling is very common.

After the 1 in 70, Cyrus LaTerza, Sean Angel and Nick Pericles are the championship contenders that will be probably in the final 12 races. Porsche drivers of Will Lewis and Ryder Smith are in range, but they need good results to get closer to LaTerza and others. Five drivers are mathematical within a race. The other championship battles like split car, rookie, etc. are very close as well.

This is the part of the season where things will get crazy. The 1 in 70 was insane. The season will have more of that in the coming weeks. While the races are crazy, the teams are starting to evaluate their programs for Season 5. We will find out more of insane moves during or after Talladega. The Slim Jim Series officials are also crazy because now Spa-Francochamps and Yas Mariana may not be at the schedule--especially the former. Rumors have that the Netherlands could replace Spa for one of the rounds of the European Tour II.

Qualifying for the Eurospeedway will come out tonight.

Pericles: Not what we needed at all, we need to quickly make our way up to the front if we want to maintain a close battle.

Smith: Just need to finish 1st now, that's the hard part. Hopefully I can come away with a really good finish.

Bad news, Eurospeedway will not go up this week. I have encounter a health problem over the past month. If you heard me burping a lot in the 1 in 70 race (I don't remember if I did), that was one of the problems I was having. It got progressing worse, on and off. Since I didn't save the commentary for Eurospeedway, I have to do it post-com, but I may end up throwing up my food during the recording. That happened once so far (in a non-NR recording), and it was embarrassing. A couple of you know what is my problem. For most, I was diagnosed with a nonfunctional gallbladder. It may end up being removed, depending on discretion. I got a crazy end for 2016 with the 1 in 70, but 2017 for Slim Jim will start off slow. I'm sorry for this.
