Round 18: Mountain Dew Junior Series Championship at Fontana Empty Round 18: Mountain Dew Junior Series Championship at Fontana

This is the grand stage. All season long, every driver is fighting every day to have their name recognized on the tracks. The biggest name recognition you want to get is the Mountain Dew Junior Series drivers championship trophy. Those drivers fighting for the title are Alissa Kirby, Christopher Bryant, and Henry Sandfer. Here are the standings:

Alissa Kirby LEADER, 2 wins
Christopher Bryant -24, 3 wins
Henry Sandfer -63, 1 win

Realistically, it's Kirby v Bryant. Sandfer has a lot of work to do. To clinch the title, he needs to win and get most lead lap bonus or pole. That's 65 points, but he better hope Kirby doesn't get 19th in settle of a tiebreaker and Bryant doesn't get 7th which also settle in a tiebreaker. Both tiebreakers are based on wins in Sandfer's scenarios. He can't really do anything but hope and luck have to come.

For Bryant, the minimum effort is to finish 7th (24 points) and Kirby doesn't score. Doing so, Christopher Bryant will win the championship due to a tiebreaker. He would be the first ISCC driver to win the champion with a tiebreaker. He needs to find a way to beat Kirby 24 points or more.

For Kirby, you can't cruise control with Bryant having expertise on ovals. That's the reason all of his wins are on ovals. The miniuim effort is Bryant doesn't score, and BOOM, Kirby is your champ. If Bryant gets 7th, she needs to stay in 6th or better. To lock it up even if Bryant is ahead of Kirby, she needs to get 4th or better. If Bryant gets bonus points, she would need to finish 2nd or 3rd. It depends once we get to qualifying and the race.

For ROTY, Sandfer has a 5 point gap over Cynder Kumori and Chip Davidson. Skye Commons is 7 points back.   When Sandfer have the collapse, Kumori got the ROTY back before Talladega, and Davidson and Commons close up.

The ISCC World Finals II made news that the Junior Series can participate. The top 6 in points are going to participate. The top 5 in points are realistically clinch. Alissa Kirby, Christopher Bryant, Henry Sandfer, Chris Valentine, and Ray Kreiger are going to make their World Finals debut. For the final spot, it's tied. Yeah, James Dalton and Mark Holbert are tied, but Holbert got the tiebreaker based on top 5's. Other drivers who have a reaslistic shot for the final spot are Shrimp Engrits, Cynder Kumori, Makaoto Yoshizawa, and Seong Nam-gi.

As for the race, Fontana is also another wildcard, but it's more tamed than Talladega. We are going to see some three- or four-wide in the pack. Pavement is a bit rough. There's probably going to be a pit stop. It's final race. Everybody's going for the win under no circumstances. However, they got to be careful around the championship leaders. Hopefully this could be an exciting championship fight.

Qualifying will be out tomorrow.

Race is out!

Well, the season is over. So...this is awkward. I don't know what to say. News of the Mountain Dew Junior Series will be started with signups I guess. So yeah that's all I got. Go watch World Finals II to see our Junior Series representatives if you want. I'm dragging it on now.

Kreiger with an underwhelming end to an underwhelming season. I just don't really know how to feel about him. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come.

However, there is someone that's made me a happy man today. Smile
