Round 6: Phoenix Empty Round 6: Phoenix

Post by ChrisEagor Mon May 30, 2016 3:41 pm

We have reach the first quarter mark of the season. With six races left including this one, we will determine the 14 top in owner (or car) points to claim the lock-ins for the 1 in 70. Darlington showed us that they found three hungry contenders: Cyrus LaTerza, Nick Pericles, and Dillon Young. With the challenging tracks at ahead, it will be a test if they are going to stay in the hunt. However, some are trying to get in the hunt like Sean Angel and Will Lewis. For the rest, they need the 1 in 70 to stay alive. There's no way Ryder Smith, PJ Williams, and Nasu Tsunemochi are going to be in the hunt because of their inconsistency. They need to stay in the top 14 and get a great run in the 1 in 70 to stay compete for the championship. Don't forget, 1 in 70 is a double-points race.

Owners Points:

Once a particular driver clinches a spot, you will see a bold like this: I want dank memes.

Onward to Phoenix, Cyrus LaTerza is looking for so much than his previous year. Same goes to Nick Pericles and Dillon Young. However, they have never been to Phoenix before. In fact, the ISCC hasn't ever. This is the first ISCC in Phoenix. There was a whole thing about Daytona road course and Motegi. The officials don't want to go back to Daytona plus they have so many road courses. For Motegi, the officials are still nervous about going back to Motegi after the race that ended Richard Young's career and nearly his life. After that, they said Phoenix and said why not. Phoenix is a very interesting track. There's some progressive banking especially at Turns 3 and 4. During testing, the drivers are being calm and keep it collective. However, since practice for the official race, the drivers are pitching each other a lot in three wide situations. It could be a caution-heavy race. We don't know how good Phoenix is. We just got to find out as we progress.

One other news in general, the Slim Jim Series will introduce their Hall of Fame for the series. I said series not the whole ISCC league. The Slim Jim Series Hall of Fame will be introduced in Season 5, but the committee is going to vote inductee(s) as this season progresses. The Slim Jim Series Hall of Fame is to recognize the driver's achievements and how the driver impacted the Slim Jim Series. No, you don't need a championship to get in the Hall of Fame. There are great sportsmen and women who never won a single championship. The eligibility for a driver is unknown yet but will announce it later this season.

Qualifying for Phoenix will be up later tonight.

Wow I'm bad. After my college night class, all I got left is to put the standings and render the video. It will be up tomorrow.

One thing I forgot to mention in the headlines. Restarts will be single file.

The race is out.

The next race will be at Decatur, the first road course of the season. I know it's been that long.
