Penalties After Monaco There were a number of penalties given out to some drivers regarding their incident(s) over this past weekend:
Ben Thompson: 5 Grid Penalty for taking the leader out of the race
Luca Fontana: 5 Grid Penalty for wrecking Christopher Cox out of Points-paying contention
Akio Matsumura: 5 Grid Penalty for Intentionally wrecking another driver
Robert Adams: 5 Race Probation for wrecking Maijata Dakovic from the lead
Coming into this weekend here in Montreal, all teams are back on the grid. However, in the first practice session, Colm O'Shea and Ben Thompson had a heated conversation in the garage area, and O'Shea takes it out on Thompson by holding him up throughout most of Thompson's flying lap. Needless to say, O'Shea had an interesting conversation with the team owner of Crow Motorsports regarding this incident. Colm O'Shea now in the hot-seat questioning whether or not he is returning to Crow Motorsports next year.
Qualifying will go up in a bit.

AUR Sings in a New Co-Owner
Coming into the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, the first stop in North America for Formula X, it seems like news has stirred in the paddock as now there is a new face for the series. Of course, everyone has herd accomplishments of this person. Taking the crown of ISCC European Champion last season in the Insomiac Elites Series and even popped in at the Round of Monaco to run practice laps. It's no surprise it's the one they call, Jeffery Finguy.
As of late, Finguy has actually funded into the team lead by friend and owner Mark Lowell. Questions why he would be in the team in this position is this simple.
"The team seems to be my kind of team and myself at some point in my ISCC career. An underdog waiting to get their chance in the spotlight. Of course off the momentum I had this season. I just hope I and the team will become someone that'll compete with the likes of Diago, Red Bull, and well... Better than Master Card. I don't know where this will go. But I only hope the momentum and my funding will make them compete with the top guys. Even more so."
This lead into one question. Why is he doing this?
"Simply put. I have pride for the American in me. Adams and Cox are busting their ass and their crews are playing to their strengths and weaknesses. Put it out simply, They're a team I want to help become game changers. Because that's what just simply a team like American United is. I welcome them to the family and will love to see they grow as we grow here in ISCC."

LFR thinks it's a slap on the wrist
LFR driver Daniel Conway was wrecked by Ben Thompson but received 5 grid penalty. Lafitte thinks taking out a leader should be more severe.
"Thompson taking Conway is murderous," Lafitte quoted. "The defendant deserves the harsh consequences. I don't see the justification at all. The officials slap Thompson. Lap down, 2nd place, or last place you are, you don't wreck the leader and have grid penalties as the result."
Lafitte hoping the "rivalry" between his team and RavenWest Motors doesn't boil over.
"I just hope what happened in Spain and Monaco doesn't affect Petit and Conway with RavenWest. We have encountered bumps and horrible luck, but this is irony. I'm hoping it's irony. If it's not irony, I'll be shocked. Or I might be crazy."

Adams: "I just can't believe we were that close... I can't thank Finguy-Psytomi enough for this chance they gave American United and really, our moral at this point is way up there..."

McKane calls Monaco penalty "bullshit", chastises Lafitte
In the events of the Monaco Grand Prix, Ben Thompson was handed a 5 spot grid penalty for supposedly taking out leader Daniel Conway. However, neither team owner Jeff McKane or driver Thompson agree.
Thompson: "I can't even begin to comprehend why the officials thought I should be penalized. O'Shea stuffed me into the wall, and the car felt weird when I was trying to drive it back. When I tried to make the turn into the pits, something broke. It must've been something in the steering, because I had the wheel turned hard right, and it was going straight. If anyone should be penalized here, it's O'Shea."
McKane: "I saw what happened. Thompson had a fault with his car's steering, and Conway was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I talked with him after he got out, and he told me what happened. Ben had no ill intent. That penalty was bullshit! Either the officials are too blind to see the the car was broken, or Lafitte and Conway went and whined to them. Those guys are assholes, making us get a penalty we didn't deserve. Lafitte, I've got my eyes on you."
- Post-race:
- Thompson: "People had a lot of doubts about my ability after what happened in Monaco, even though I feel I deserved none of that. But today, I went and proved all of them wrong. At least until that talentless prick Nakajima decided to knock me off the road. Subaru need to get some competent drivers."
McKane: "Everyone was driving like idiots out there. It seemed like nobody could use their fucking heads, and of course we had to pay the price for their stupidity. I just have to wonder how some of those guys got their superlicenses in the first place. And go figure that we had to see those assholes Lafitte get a podium, while we got nothing despite out efforts. Sometimes, this world just ain't fair."

Re: 2016 Round 7 - Canadian Grand Prix - @ Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
- Lafitte: "I'm ready to be bitten:
During the Canadian Grand Prix, RavenWest Motors and Lafitte Formula Racing got together, but it was a clean, good battle. However, the aftermath for the Grand Prix kicks in.
"I have no idea what to say," Lafitte said. "After the final pit stop, there's no way to catch up the top 3. All we hope every driver ahead gets involved, but having that is slim. We just hold position for the final ten or so laps."
Then Ben Thompson crashed with a Subaru lap car. Daniel Conway advances to the podium. After the race, Thompson and RavenWest expressed their frustration, commenting harshly about Lafitte.
"Well damn. That's interesting. Plus, of course, the world is not fair. Petit got wrecked, but I think it's racing because it was for position with the SkullCandy. Thompson getting wrecked by a lap car is insane," Lafitte added. "Destroying someone's race that high in the order is controversial. Hopefully justice is served against the Subaru. Still, McKane called me an asshole so that's also an interesting tale. Besides, the team and I didn't do anything to them this race. In this case, I'm ready to be bitten. Oh well. I'm sure it will die down once we get past Silverstone."
Next race will be at France, called to be one of the craziest Formula X races in the calendar.
"With the way the field is, I'm expecting high amount of crashes. Oh boy," Lafitte said taking a breather. "It's the team's home track. Of course, the public expects to win or get at least a podium, but don't expect us to do that in this chaotic track. As for the RavenWest stuff which I think that will be bring up, it's going to be bad blood. I hope the French men and women don't throw eggs at them; that's too stupid. If they win at my home track without any controversial actions, I would congratulate them. If not, well...damn. Silverstone will be very unfriendly."
